#Lorefight 68!

The Greenskins had come so far in the last month, having attacked Averland and other neighbouring regions, raided through the streets Altdorf for weeks on end as well as being able to disable the Emperor of Men. However, none of that seemed to matter now as their last remaining legendary leader, Grom the Paunch, was being demolished by the Grand Theogonist of Sigmar.

As Grom swung his axe, Volkmar evaded the blow with ease and countered with a hammer smash to Grom’s knees. As Grom attempted to grab and throw Volkmar, he instead wriggled loose and kicked the warboss in the testicles with his armoured greave. Finally, Volkmar shoved the tail end of the Staff of Command through Grom’s eyes, blinding the goblin as he pushed it onto its back only to then slam into the Paunch’s skull repeatedly with his hammer.

The goblins looked on in terror as they saw the greatest of their kin die before them. Suddenly, the doors of the cathedral swung open as a massive Imperial cavalry charge emerged led by the Knights of the Blazing Sun and their leader Siegfried Trappenfeld. In normal situations the goblins would take Grom”s body away and expect his revival through regeneration. Instead, they were running for their lives as the cavalry mowed them down, followed closely behind by Volkmar on his altar, Luthor Huss and the flagellants of course. What had been the greatest Waaagh! seen in centuries, was now thousands of goblins and orcs fleeing in desperation.

Among the thousands of fleeing Greenskins heading South was Git Guzzler, a Goblin king famed for destroying the Bugman Brewery so very long ago. Like Grom, Git was also surprisingly large for a goblin and had even challenged Grom’s authority on more than one occasion through one on one combat. His axe “Da Wicked Edge” could easily pierce plate armour which always gave him an offensive advantage over Grom and Git liked to experiment with concoctions of his own which enabled him to drug Da Meanest Gobbo into a stupor but even then, he always lost eventually on account of his comparative lack of regenerative abilities.

As Git fled from Reikland he uncovered a secret passageway and decided to take it to escape. It would take longer to get home than on land this way but at least he knew he wouldn’t be pursued by knights in there, particularly important since he couldn’t run through the fields as quick as his fellow Gobbos did.

However, 10 minutes into skulking through the tunnels Git was suddenly faced by someone he had never expected to come across; Joseph Bugman, Master Brewer and previous owner of the Bugman Brewery, who evidently had ignored King Thorgrim’s orders to join the Dawi army invading Athel Loren in order to track the goblin who ruined his life down. Will Bugman attain the vengeance he craves?

Love React – Git looked straight into the Dwarf’s eyes before pulling out some of his “Bad Brew” and immediately flinging it into Bugman’s face. This instantly made the Dwarf high and decreased his cognitive functions and reaction times, thereby granting Git the opportunity to pull out his axe and hack straight through Bugman’s armour. Finally as Bugman laid dead on the ground, Git reached down and tore one of his forearms off, perfect timing for the Guzzler’s dinner!

Laugh React – Git Guzler turned around and fled from the fight, only to be caught and killed by Luthor Huss upon emerging from the passageway’s entrance in Reikland.

Sad React – Bugman took a sip from his tankard, instantly refreshing himself and enabling him to charge at the goblin with temporary immunity to Git’s brews. Their axes clashed numerous times only for Joseph to cut through the wooden handle of Git’s axe and disarm the goblin, followed by a clean slash to the chest.

Wow React – Git Guzzler dominated the melee and managed to knock the Dwarf onto the ground. However, before he could win the fight, he suddenly heard humans approaching through the tunnels behind him. As such, Git decided to leave Bugman behind and progress into the tunnels. Survival is what matters to this goblin.
