Everything has gone according to da Gobbo wit da Scheems plans. The Dwarf armies have abandoned their holds to fight in a pointless war against knife-ears, the other greenskins are busy fighting and fleeing from humans up North and now even Queek Headtaker has abandoned his forces in the Badlands to pick away at an invading Cathayan fleet. Anywhere could be up for the Warlord’s taking but there is only one place that will properly satisfy him.

Some time ago, Belegar Ironhammer defeated Skarsnik and retook the fortress known as Karak Eight Peaks, leaving the gobbo King Under The Mountain dethroned. However, since then Queek Headtaker led an invasion force and defeated Belegar, forcing Clan Angrund to retreat and set up camp only to then be attacked by Drycha and her Dryads as part of the Dawi-Asrai conflict. But though Queek may rule over the Fortress, he isn’t there right now. This could be Skarsnik and Gobbla’s best chance to recapture the fortress!

Skarsnik understood how Skaven think, he knew that they couldn’t have fought the Dwarfs in a purely frontal attack given all the fortress’ defences. They must have taken advantage of the old network of tunnels beneath the fortress, built by the Orcs and Goblins of old, to invade from below. And given the Skaven’s need to transport machines and warpstone from settlement to settlement beneath the surface, those tunnels must still be operational.

And so the goblins attacked the fortress, sending in thousands of Goblin Spider Riders to lead the charge followed by waves of Squig hoppers, squigs, forest goblins, night goblins and snotlings to kill every rat they come across.

Skarsnik fought through the halls of the fortress, having lost his bearings as to where Gobbla had gone off to, until finally he saw the rat in charge, Ska Bloodtail, Right Paw to Queek Headtaker and Liutenant of Queek’s Red Guard. Ska may not be known for his intellect like Skarsnik is but he has been known to make up for this through his intense loyalty to the clan and ability to survive. When Queek was threatened by the Grey Seer Razzel, he willingly stood in front of Queek as a meat shield, when the Clan Rictus warlord Toskitt ambushed Queek, Ska ducked in front of Queek and took a dagger to the heart and when Queek was going to be crushed by a cave-inn it was Ska who shoved him out of the way and exposed himself to the rubble. Somehow, Ska Bloodtail managed to survive all these things but today he needs to do more than just survive, he needs to defeat Skarsnik and push the goblins back to hold onto the fortress until master Queek returns from his engagement. Who will prevail?

Sad React – Skarsnik wins the melee but Ska flees from the battle before Skarsnik can kill him. Ska travels South to find Queek and warn him of the Goblin invasion so they can plot how to reconquer the fortress once more.

Love React – Skarsnik and Ska fought hand to hand for some time and so Skarsnik realised he would have to find another way of killing this rat. After all, Ska wields a polearm and heavy armour while Skarsnik had little to no armour and a wooden staff. As such, Skarsnik jumped back from the melee and activated his staff’s magic function, unleashing the power of Gork and/or Mork inside to blast the rat dead.

Wow React – Skarsnik and Ska fought hand to hand for some time before Skarsnik jumped back from the melee and activated his staff’s magic function, unleashing the power of Gork and/or Mork inside to blast the rat dead. However, somehow in a true to form manner Ska survived this as well! Ska stood up to fight Skarsnik once more when suddenly he heard a noise from behind. He began to turn around to look when suddenly he was gobbled up by Gobbla whose teeth crunched through his armour with ease and devoured the poor rat.

Angry React – Skarsnik and Ska fought in melee for a while. The Goblin was a surprisingly good fighter by his species’ standards but Ska was simply better; better armoured, better trained, had better weapons and was taller than his enemy for once. And so, when Skarsnik attempted to jab the Skaven with his prodder, Ska was able to dodge the attack and pull the prodder from Skarsnik’s arms. The now disarmed Skarsnik turned to flee only to be impaled through his back and chest by Ska’s polearm.

Laugh React – Ska and Skarsnik fought … WHEN OUT OF NOWHERE THAT GOBBO DECIDED TO JUMP AWAY AND TURN HIS STICK-STICK INTO A SPELL WEAPON. WHAT IS THIS TRICKERY? DOES IT HAVE WARPSTONE? THE GOBLIN WANTS TO SHOOTETH ME WITH IT. YES YES IT MUST! … sorry I don’t know what came over me. Skarsnik shot at Ska with his staff but somehow, the rat survived and now leapt into a frenzy, charging forward and disarming the goblin with ease only to hack and stab at the goblin warlord enough times to make sure he was dead…. ONLY 318 STABS-CUT-WOUNDS SAYS I! YES-YES VICTORY FOR THE VERMINTIDE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA
