- 88. Prince Tyrion defeated and arrested the rebellious samurai Sanyo Kawasaki over in Nippon who was threatening to disrupt trade between Elves and the East by toppling Nippon’s government.
- 89. A chaos warrior named Archaon rose from the wastes and killed Morkar, the Twiceborn Everchosen of Chaos once and for all. Archaon takes Morkar’s armour for himself.
- Life by the Blade: Tyrion comes to regret defeating Sanyo Kawasaki after realising the relationship between Elves and Nippon is built on corruption. Tyrion and his squire Princess Eldyra are unable to return home to Ulthuan due to storms brewing over the Eastern Ocean.
- 90. Balthasar Gelt rescued Karl Franz’s unconscious body and dropped a cave ceiling on top of the Slaaneshi and Khornate greater daemons, N’Kari and Skarbrand, respectively.
- 91. Durthu & Scarloc team up with Prince Oreon to destroy Karak Izor
- Dwarf High King election: The council of longbeards elects Belegar Ironhammer as High King in the wake of Thorgrim’s death. Belegar’s wife Queen Vala Kemma is the runner-up and Queen Helgar Longplaits is chosen to be the High King’s hand.
- 92. Azhag the Slaughter invades Copher, kills the Golden Magus and claims his three Djinns/Genies for himself.
- 93. Three hapless Halfling chefs accidentally kill Aarbal the Undefeated and knock out Valten mid-duel.
- Return to Peace: The pregnant Everqueen of Avelorn receives the Asrai refugees thanks to the efforts of the Bretonnian navy. Alarielle sails off to the Old World to negotiate an armistice with the Dwarfs.
- 94. Alarielle’s entourage of Handmaidens & Sisters of Avelorn is ambushed near Skavenblight on their way to Karaz-a-Karak by the Grey Seer, Lord Skrittar. The elves defeat the Skaven and Alarielle’s magic devolves the grey seer into a hairless skavenslave.
- The Importance of Family: Mannfred and Vlad von Carstein have a falling out at Castle Drakenhof. Vlad takes his army and abandons Sylvania in hopes of tracking down the remains of his late wife Isabella stored in the recently stolen Blood Chalice of Bathori. - 96. Marco Colombo sells the Aster Feather (a precious tiara belonging to the first Everqueen Astarielle) back to the Phoenix Court in Lothern for a fortune. Tullaris Dreadbringer remains hidden in Colombo’s ship through the story.
- 97. Witch Queen Hellebron arrives on the recently conquered Isles of Elithis as a stop-gap before going on to invade Nippon where she intends to murder Tyrion. However, Duriath Helbane learns that Hellebron has imprisoned his wife back in Naggaroth. He teams up with Morathi, who had disguised herself as the handmaiden turned slave Drusala, to oust Hellebron from the Isles and create a new independent state welcoming opponents to Hellebron’s rule.
- 98. Grieving over the death of Gor-Rok in 85, the Slaan lord of Itza, Tepec-Inzi, awakes from his slumber to enact revenge on the elves who he mistakingly blames for Colombo & Dreadbringer’s raid of Itza. As this is happening, Lord Grilok of the Skaven attempts to corrupt the spawning pools around Hexoatl but is thwarted by Tiktaq’to atop his trusty terradon Zwup.
- 99. Duke Gilon d’Aquitaine rescues the maiden Iselda d’Aquitaine after she was kidnapped by a group of radical Herrimaults led by Carlomax. Gilon slays all the rebels and escorts Iselda to safety atop his pegasus.
- 100. Annoyed by how long it is taking to craft a body for Isabella, Nagash resurrects Heinrich Kemmler as a wight with the ability to turn himself into a carrion and sends him North to the Abbey de La Maisontaal in Bretonnia to revive Krell who was slain by the Green Knight way back in #Lorefight 1. The travelling heroes Gotrek and Felix hear of Kemmler’s plans and travel to the Abbey to intercept the Lichemaster. They re-destroy Krell but Kemmler escapes.
- 101. The Sultan of Araby is briefly possessed by the spirit of Sultan Jaffar in order to defend his daughter Princess Jasmine Silverveil and defeat Warboss Grokka Goreaxe after his horde make their way into Al Haikk. The Sultan/Sultan Jaffar kill Grokka before the Sultan is able to expel Jaffar’s spirit…or has he?
- 102. Alarielle the Everqueen arrives in Karaz-A-Karak to negotiate peace between the Wood Elves and Dwarfs with High King Belegar Ironhammer. However, their negotiations are interrupted by an undead invasion by Mannfred, Jerek and Markos von Carstein. Mannfred and Markos are destroyed as well as their armies while Alarielle uses her magic to uncorrupt Jerek back into a mortal Middenlander like he’d once been. Sadly, the battle came at the cost of Queen Helgar Ironplats’ life.
- 103. Garagrim Ironfist is infected with the chaotic affliction Gods’ Rot on one of his adventures and risks infecting all of Karak Kadrin. Grombrindal and Malekith arrive to help King Ungrim but find they cannot cure Garagrim. Thus, in order to prevent himself from infecting others Garagrim deliberately goads Malekith into a fight Garagrim knows he cannot win. Malekith kills Garagrim, ending the risk of the virus, but Ungrim banishes Grombrindal and Malekith for killing his son.
- 104. The Cathayan general Zhao Fei works together with Overtyrant Greasus Goldtooth of the Ogres to kill the rogue ogre tyrant Braugh the Slavelord who’s revealed to be in league with the Chaos Dwarfs.
- The Way to Hell: Archaon traverses the Chaos Wastes in search of the Altar of Ultimate Darkness.
- 105. Archaon dominates the bloodthirster Ka’bandha into submitting to his will and claims the Crown of Domination for himself, earning himself the Mark of Khorne to boot.
- 106. Ariel’s vengeful spirit inhabits Araloth’s corpse and hunts down the eagle rider Thalandor Doomstar who deserted her during the war with the Dwarfs. After killing Thalandor, Ariel/Araloth claim his eagle for themselves.
- 107. The goblin spider rider Snagla Grobbspit guides members of Da Immortulz including Durkol Eye-Gouger and Taugrek the Throttler into the Darklands to kidnap the daemonsmith Hothgar the Renegade and force him to heal Grimgor’s wounds.
- 108. While sailing from Ulthuan to Sudenburg with their ship filled with treasure, Marco Colombo and Tulkaris Dreadbringer are attacked by King Amanhotep’s warship the Curse of Zandri as it turns out the gold the elves paid them for the Aster Feather had itself once been stolen from the Tomb Kings. Marco Colombo calls in a favour from one of Luthor Harkon’s tidecasters to create a maelstrom and sink the Curse of Zandri (-> See Unsettled Debts: A #lorefight story)
- 109. Duriath Hellbane sails to Naggaroth to rescue his wife Anethra. There she is about to be killed by her adopted son Khelthrai, a shoe-in to become the new Captain of the Har Ganeth executioners, under the orders of Clar Karond’s drachau Venhil Chillblade. However, Khelthrai has a change of heart, kills Venhil and escapes with Duriath and Anethra – reuniting the Helbane family once and for all as they sail back to Morathi’s new colony at Tor Elithis.
- 110. Still in Nippon, Tyrion and Eldyra aid the local samurai Datashi Matsunorii in defeating Norscan raiders led by the shape-shifting werebear Beorg Bearstruck. Eldyra kills Beorg, proving herself capable to Tyrion.
- 111. The witch known as Baba Yaga tries to confuse Ludwig Schwartzhelm and the Knights of the Black Bear on their way to Praag by giving herself the appearance of an ice witch and seducing them. Ludwig sees through her charade and executes the witch.
- 112. Upon realising that Isabella von Carstein’s soul belongs to Nagash now, Vlad von Carstein agrees to become one of the Great Necromancer’s mortarchs in the hope of getting ownership of Isabella’s soul back at some point.
- 113. The slaan lord Tepec-Inzi disapproves of the Amazons’ choice of queen, Queen Thalestris, and kills her after she refuses to join his war with the elves. Thalestris’ succesor, Azura, becomes the new queen and agrees to side with the Lizardmen in the coming conflict out of fear of receiving the same fate.
- 114. Marco Colombo and his crew are almost executed for piracy by the governor of Sudenburg, Andreas Leonardus. Tullaris Dreadbringer teams up with an Amazon shopkeeper named Melandra to rescue Colombo and the crew. They escape Sudenberg on their ship but the majority of their treasure had already been confiscated and thus is lost.
- 115. The comatosed Karl Franz is tortured by the mind of Slaanesh but manages to push back thanks to faith in Sigmar. Karl escapes the Dark Prince’s realm and Sigmar grants him his legs back. However, escaping Slaanesh’s domain meant the Dark Prince escaped its own dormant state and is now free to return to the Pantheon of the Dark Gods or even appear in the mortal realms should s/he wish to.
- 116. Alrik Ranulfsson reclaims Karak Hirn from the self-titled Rat King, Tretch Craventail, who has grown immensely obese after gorging its way through Karak Hirn’s granaries. Alrik kills Tretch.
- 117. Tepec-Inzi, Kroq-Gar, Inxi-Huinzi, Queen Azura and Princess Lysippe attempt to invade Teclis & Eltharion’s outpost on the Volcanic Isles but are soundly defeated after Teclis and the Loremasters summon Amanar the Merwyrm to give them the edge in the fight. The Lizardmen and Amazons flee, Amanar destroys Tepec-Inzi and Eltharion & Stormwing slay Kroq-Gar & Grymloq.
- 118. The Kislevite serial killer known as the Butcherman of Kislev is revealed to be a disgruntled druid/hermit named Adric Greenwood capable of shape-shifting into a manticore. Adric abducts the Kislevite noble Alexei Kovovitch and murders him.
- 119. After his only living relative (Prince Alatar) is abducted during a Druchii raid in Nagarythe, Alith Anar suspects Prince Alastar of Chrace may have been involved somehow. However, Alith decides he cannot kill Alastar without proof so he sets off to rescue Alatar himself. An Asur fleet stewarded by the many nobles of the Phoenix Court is currently planning an invasion of Naggaroth but Alith will not travel with them.
- 120. A Bretonnian thief named Ennar escapes the dungeons of Bastonne where no living man has ever escaped before. Duke Bohemond and his knights track the peasant down with the blessings of their bishop Almaric d’ Gaudaron but Ennar is rescued by Mallobaude. Mallobaude defeats Bohemond and his knights and takes Ennar back to Mousillon to attend to the peasant’s wounds.
- 121. Having claimed the Crown of Domination and the Armour of Morkar, Archaon invades the lair of the Great Unclean One, Bolragoth the Festant, who guards the Eye of Sheerian. Archaon endures Bolragoth’s poxes and claims the Eye of Sheerian for himself, earning him Nurgle’s approval.
- 122. After Karl flies back to the Empire atop the winged steed Quicksilver, Balthasar Gelt is left to clear up the situation around Limshof. Gelt soon finds Skarbrand’s body drifting in a nearby river and discovers that though the daemon’s body survived the mountain collapse, Skarbrand’s mind has been damaged. As such, Gelt takes Skarbrand’s body back with him and decides to operate on Skarbrand’s brain to see if he can reconfigure the bloodthirster into a “good daemon”. Despite nearly dying in the process via psychic projections and putting the whole town at risk, Gelt eventually succeeds in brainwashing Skarbrand’s mind.
- Age of the Rat: After their victory over the Lizardmen General Ferghal of the Iron Spear and Eltharion the Grim seek to press their advantage by leading an army inti the jungles of Lustria. However, their forces are ambushed by a combination of Pestilens, Moulder and Mors units including Lord Gritch and the infamous sharpshooter Natty Buboe. Ferghal dies, the army is destroyed and Eltharion & Stormwing are shot down as Eltharion’s blindness returns due to having no nearby mages to maintain his vision.
- 123. Whilst wandering through the Drakwald, Nakai the Kroxigor finds an Asrai village pillaged by Beastmen. Nakai saves its last living inhabitant, a small elf girl who cannot yet speak, from the Bray Shaman simply known as the Harbinger and the two travel South together.
- Unsettled Debts: After not paying his debts to Luthor Harkon in time, Marco Colombo learns that Captain Drekla, Harkon’s First Mate, has sent an immense rotting leviathan to kill him and his crew.
- 124. Nagash and his mortarchs invade Khemri in search of two Books of Nagash. Vlad & Isabella work together to slay Settra the Imperishable and claim the books from the city’s vaults.
- 125. Malekith was seriously injured by the stranded chaos space marine Kol Badar. Fortunately before the star warrior could kill either the Dark Elf or Grombrindal, he was apprehended and dragged back into the warp for a good krumpin’ by the Ork pirate Kaptin Bludflagg.
- 126. Slaanesh returned from their slumber and proceeded to punish the daemon princes Samael and Azazel for their inaction while the god was absent by destroying their physical forms and trapping their souls in 2 of Dechala’s swords. Dechala was then promoted to Daemon Princess.
- 127. Princess Jasmine accepted Mydas the Mean’s marriage proposal in return for an army large enough to kick Azhag’s orcs out of Araby.
- 128. Mallobaude killed Sir Reynard le Chasseur and his hunting wolves after they tried to assassinate him.
- The Beauty Underneath: Despite reacting rather poorly to her transformation of having her soul put in Neferata’s decayed and bloodied body, Vlad was able to calm Isabella down before she did anything to hurt herself. Nagash promised that Vlad would get more time to speak with his beloved once he found more of the Undying King’s tomes.
- 129. The Imperials fell for Tzeentch’s scheme beneath Castle Templehof. The Light Wizard Jovi Sunscryer was teleported into the heart of a volcano by his own faulty ritual, Lucian the Blade and his Free Company Militia were slain by the aura of a rampaging Mutalith Vortex Beast and even the banshee Emmanuelle von Templehof was forced to flee from the castle. Furthermore, away from the castle the fire wizard Wolfgang Scheunacht revealed his hand as a disciple of Tzeentch. He attacked and burnt the Patriarch of the White Order, Verspasian Kant, to death in his own quarters.
- 130. In anticipation of the Dark Elf invasion of Nippon, Prince Tyrion and Princess Eldyra managed to tame 40 wild stormbirds to their cause in order to bolster Nippon’s military capabilities.
- 131. Despite being killed by the treacherous Deathmaster Snikch (who preferred to side with the Monkey King over the Warriors of Chaos’ offer), chosen of Tzeentch Albodi the Scarred was still successful in killing the grand master of the Cathayan dragon monks Chen Long and opened a daemonic portal into Cathay. The Lords of Change Sarthorael the Ever-Watcher and Tchzen of the Silver Claw now stand ready to invade the Celestial Dragon Empire alongside their daemonic hosts.
- 132. Walach Harkon and his blood knights led a coup against the remaining few Von Carstein loyalists following several desertions and failed campaigns. Walach was pronounced the new Count of Sylvania and ruler of Castle Drakenhof, forcing his predecessor Elize Von Carstein and her lover Erikan Crowfiend into early retirement/banishment confined within the Red Abbey.
- 133. Sir Bullywick Applebag’s company of Halflings managed to avoid being eaten by ogres. In fact, they even managed to convince the ogres led by tyrant Oleg Skullcracker into joining their hunt for the goblin menace Grotsnag in future.
- 134. Araloth and his army of ghostly wood elves managed to defend Laurelorn Forest from a hateful Middenlander rabble. Araloth killed the Ar-Ulric Emil Valgeir.
Settled Grievances: Alarielle & Belegar conclude their negotiations. They agree on the following compromises:
- Ceasefire between the Dawi and the Asrai refugees, the wood elf militants led by Scarloc & Durthu are still in combat against the Dwarfs however.
- Trade agreement is established between Lothern and Barak Varr.
- Elves & Dwarfs mutually agree not to lay any claims to the territories formerly known as Athel Loren.
- Alarielle takes a sip of Bugman’s brew. She hates it but the Dwarfs get a good laugh from it.
- Elves & Dwarfs mutually agreed to plan an invasion of Sartosa in order to establish a new homeland for the Wood Elves.
- The Dwarfs allow the elves to rebuild their colony at Oeragor, an outpost in the Badlands that was razed in the War of the Beard.
- 135. Vlad von Carstein sacked Sudenburg in order to capture the Carrion Book of Shyish, one of the tomes of Nagash. Sudenburg’s governor Andreas Leonardus was stabbed in the back by Vlad’s standard bearer Estroth the Silent.
- 136. After being shot down by the Skaven in the Age of the Rat, Eltharion found himself blinded within an eery cave home to the mysterious daemon Ba’bu’shar. The daemon wormed its way into Eltharion memories, establishing itself as a respectable High Elf loremaster and long time friend of Teclis in return for bringing Eltharion’s friends back to life and temporarily restoring his sight. The two elves returned to the Volcanic Isles.
137.1 Mallobaude invaded the wedding of Anthelme d’Austray and Anara d’ Garamont. Mallobaude defeated the bishop Almaric de Gaudaron and proceeded to hold Anara at sword’s point in order to get the wedding guests to drink from his corrupted grail, hoping it would reveal the truth of the Lady’s insincerity to them. Alas, those who did drink were cursed by the Lady, turned into the ravenous wights known as the Knights of the Black Grail. The wights went on to kill everyone at the wedding, highborn or commoner alike, as well as beyond throughout Castle Bastonne including Duke Bohemond the Beastslayer. Only Mallobaude, their creator, was spared their onslaught as he proceeded to slice Anara’s throat.
137.2 Mallobaude’s peasant friend Ennar liberated Bertrande the Brigand and his band of merry revolutionaries from the dungeons of Bastonne. They attempt to cause a riot to sew discontent against the feudal system only to find themselves having been used in a greater plot. While the knights of Bastonne were busy dealing with the protesting brigands and Mallobaude’s antics up in the Cathedral, they were left unprepared for Duke Merovech d’ Mousillon’s undead invasion. The armies of Mousillon conquered the city, killing everyone in their path on both sides of the feudal conflict including both Calard d’Garamont and Bertrande the Brigand. Ennar was taken prisoner for Merovech’s twisted plans.
- 138. The captured Chaos Dwarf daemonsmith purified Grimgor’s wounds from Sigmar’s taint (wounds he suffered from being hit by Gal Maraz back in #lorefight 50). Grimgor thanked the dwarf by chopping his head off and adding it to his belt.
- 139. Marco Colombo and his crew find themselves stranded on the Dragon Isles after a rotting leviathan known as the Deep Sea Devourer destroyed his ship the Bronzed Saber. Marco and the rest barely managed to stay alive as the leviathan got into a fight with a Thunder Lizard all around them.
- 140. Grombrindal takes Malekith to Kraka Dorden to repair the dark elf’s armour following their encounter with the lone Chaos Space Marine. Alas, while Malekith is out of action the hold is attacked by daemonic forces of Khorne led by Valkia the Bloody who has been given another chance as a daemon princess. The daemons overtake the hold, killing both King Logamir and Queen Friga as Snorri is pushed further back into the hold. However, just as it looked like Grombrindal might die and the hold would fall, Malekith woke from his coma and used all his magical knowledge to banish Valkia and her cronies back to the Realm of Chaos, depleting his Circlet of Iron in the process.
- The Prince of Mousillon: Duke Merovech elected Mallobaude as his heir following their successful conquest of Bastonne. However, this did not come as a time for celebration for the new prince who was forcibly subjected to Merovech’s blood kiss. Unable to control his new undead instincts, Mallobaude went on to murder his friend Ennar.
- The Passing of Seasons: Before heading home back to Ulthuan, Alarielle paid a visit to Durthu & Scarloc in secret. She warned them that she cannot condone their continued aggression toward the Dwarfs though she does offer some restorative care to Durthu whose age is beginning to catch up with him.
- 141. Despite initially setting out to steal the book of Nagash known as the Tome of a Thousand Souls from Triton, an ancient sea giant who was using the tome to raise an army of mermaids and keep the future of his species alive through it, in return for an early retirement and pardon granted by Volkmar the Grim, Jaego Roth changed his mind and settled for a payment of treasures from Triton’s cove and returned to his life of piracy. By the time Count Noctilus later arrived to claim the book of Nagash atop the Skabrus, Triton was well prepared and his mermaids forced Noctilus and his crew of undead Skaven to retreat.
142.1 In pursuit of his abducted ward Alatar, Alith Anar and his Shadow Walkers invaded Slaver’s Point and defeated its unkillable master Kaldor the Cruel. From there Alith tortured Hauclir for information before finally killing the retainer once he learned that Alatar had been taken to Hag Graef, to the Darkblade siblings.
142.2 The High Elf fleet suffered heavy casualties against the Black Ark of captain Mortharor but they were eventually victorious and managed to land at Arnheim.
- 143. The warrior priest Conrad Gottschalk broke up the drug-peddling Slaaneshi cult based in Marienburg known as the Aesthetes. He killed the Aesthete patroness Anetta van Klausner as well as her bodyguard, the Norscan marauder champion Drenok Johansen before arresting several key members of the organisation including the vampire Mundvard the Cruel.
- Nightmare or Prophecy: Teclis has a horrible nightmare depicting a future wherein Malekith has been made Eternity King of Ulthuan alongside his Eternity Queen Alarielle. Together they have bent Ulthuan into a Khaine-worshipping wasteland where all dissent is met by slaughter. The dream culminates in the execution of Imrik of Caledor, the summary destruction of Caledor as a landmass by an expanding Great Vortex and the sacrifice of Teclis’ organs by a rabble of maddened elf nobles. However the question remains, was this just a bad dream or was it one of Lileath’s warnings of what may be to come?
- 144. Grand Hierophant Khatep failed to thwart the necrarchs W’Soran and Melchior from claiming the Codex Mortifica, another Book of Nagash from within the ruined city of Mahrak. However, they never made it back to their aspiring god with their prize for they were both beaten and imprisoned by a newly arisen and angry King Phar who has ambitions of his own now that Settra is no more.
- 145. The treasure hunters of Castle Drachenfels get more than they bargained for when the evil spirit within awakens. The High Elf mage Caladris was possessed and the vampire Geneviève Diudonne was captured. While most of the expedition fled the castle from Drachenfels’ minions, especially in light of its infrastructure beginning to crumble as Lord Kroak’s Oracle Ten-Zlati arrived outside to destroy the castle and prevent the Great Enchanter’s return, the playwright Detlef Sierck remained inside in hopes of rescuing Geneviève.
- 146. On his way North to kill Malekith for slaying his son, Ungrim Ironfist got into a scrap with Wulfrik the Wanderer. However, before either could best the other Wulfrik was forced to flee as an angry Bonegrinder Giant came after him.
- 147. Sir Bullywick Applebag’s company of Halflings work together with Oleg Skullcracker’s Ogres to end Grotsnag’s threat once and for all. The goblin boss is apprehended, meanwhile his followers and even a river troll hag he had on his side are all killed. Before going their separate ways the Halflings cook the Ogres a formidable feast and Skullcracker gives the Halfling warrior Bogie Crumpot a horn he can use to call the ogres again in the future should the situation ever be desperate enough.
- 148. Felix takes Gotrek to his brother’s house to celebrate Geheimnistag. While there, Gotrek tells the young Gustav Jaeger the story of the Gourmet of Tilea.
- 149. Having stayed behind in the dungeons beneath Castle Drakenfels following the stronghold’s destruction, Detlef Sierck sacrifices his life in a deal with the Great Enchanter to ensure Geneviève Diudonne’s continued existence. Drakenfels has been set back by his castle’s destruction but he remains a threat nevertheless.
- 150. After centuries questing around the Chaos Wastes besting Greater Daemons, toppling rivals and even defeating the prince who would be king Be’lakor, Archaon was thwarted on his final hurdle towards becoming Everchosen by a betrayal led by Slaanesh’s devoted minions, the new daemon princess Dechala and a reincarnation of Sigvald the Magnificent.
- Failure: Rakarth the Beastlord punishes Captain Mortharor for allowing the High Elves to make landfall in Naggaroth.
- 151. Balthasar Gelt’s plan to weaponise Skarbrand against the forces of Chaos backfires horribly when the Bloodthirster fails to keep a herd of dragon ogres and a shaggoth from pillaging their way through the town of Mielau. Despite his presence in the story, Valten struggled to reduce civilian casualties in the ensuing attack.
At Life’s End: Merovech d’ Mousillon teaches the new vampire Mallobaude some discipline following his outburst in which he killed Ennar.
- 152. Walach Harkon tracked down and killed the final remaining Von Carstein in the Old World, Gustavus von Carstein, who had been hiding in a remote Imperial village as a peasant named Gelbert. While Walach confirmed his hold over Sylvania, Abhorash headed South in pursuit of the traitor Vlad Von Carstein.
- 153. Despite Marco Colombo’s fears of the damage an island of feral dinosaurs could unleash should they ever reach the mainland, Melandra convinced Tullaris Dreadbringer not to poison future generations of Lizardmen being spawned on the Dragon Isles. The crew made their way off the island safely on a raft, heading towards Ind. Unfortunately, the human crew bent Tullaris’s sword out of shape while cutting trees.
- 154. Theoderic Gausser, Count of Nordland, launched a vicious inquisition into Marienburg following reports of plague-infected meats being sold by a Nurgle-worshipping butcher who they put to death, though the Imperials’ search quickly expanded to meeting out justice upon all manner of social ills across the city. The Huurder family, who’s son Baudewijn had eaten some corrupted meat, only narrowly managed to escape the city with their lives as they were pursued by the Witch Hunter Victor Saltzpyre.
- 155. In spite of originally intending to drop off the Wood Elf child and then return to his duties alone, Nakai soon found itself fully embroiled in the defence of Carroburg as the great bray shaman the Harbinger, who wishes to capture the girl for as yet unknown reasons, returned once again with an army at its side led by Taurox the Brass Bull. Nakai and the Imperial troops worked to fend off their bestial foes, with Markus Wulfheart killing the Harbinger and Nakai badly wounding Taurox by ripping off one of the bull’s legs with the kroxigor’s snapping jaws. However, as it was revealed in the battle that the child had unusual powers, there’s no way Nakai will let her out of its sight just yet. The two continue travelling together.
- Aggressive Negotiations: Teclis and Loremaster Ba’Bu’Shar negotiate an armistice with Lord Huinitenuchli of the Lizardmen pending a Blood Bowl game that will decide whether the two races can coexist.
- 156. The Blood Bowl game between the High Elves and Lizardmen was subjected to a Skaven ambush, creating all manner of terror and culminating in the death of Eltharion at the hands of the jezzail sharpshooter Natty Buboe. While the swordmistress Izaraa blamed herself for failing to protect the Warden of Yvresse, Teclis took vengeance on the Skaven, obliterating Natty Buboe with a lightning strike.
- 157. Upon hearing of the Skaeling raid on Serrac, the Bretonnian king Louen Leoncouer took up arms once more and killed Egyl Styrbjorn, High Jarl of the Skaelings.
- 158. After suffering horrendous torture at the hands of the Darkblade siblings, Alatar is finally rescued by his guardian Alith Anar who killed all the siblings in retaliation. Though the High Elves escaped Hag Graef without too many casualties themselves, Alatar has still been scarred and Alith remains none the wiser over who betrayed him in the first place.
- Summon the Elector Counts: As tensions continue to brew between the Elector Counts a new opportunity has risen. The new count of Sylvania, Walach Harkon, has offered a formal pact with the Empire, offering Sylvania’s goods and services to help plug the Empire’s shortcomings eg. industrial materials and crops to make up for a poor farming season in return for full diplomatic immunity and recognition of Harkon’s place as an Elector Count. Despite fierce backlash from the hardliners within the counts, Karl Franz decided to accept Harkon’s hand in friendship out of desperation. Truly these are dark days for mankind.
